Lars what do you say to the people who accuse metallica of selling out?
I go "you're right, we sell out most everyplace we play!"
Lars was barely 10 years old when he attended a Deep Purple concert that struck him so deeply, that a sucession of soul driven choices would follow.

One of Metallica's original lineup's included bassist Cliff Burton who was tragicly killed when the band's tour bus crashed in September of 1986 while traveling between Stockholm & Copenhagen.
In October of 1986 Jason Newsted joined the Metallica lineup. Newsted recently (Jan. 17 '01) announced after 14 years of being with Metallica that he would be leaving the band.
